Amazing expedition experience

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

Katemayo
6-10 Cruises • Age 20s

My husband and I loved this cruise! The ship is beautifully planned and decorated. We had an Arctic Superior room, which had plenty of storage space. It also had a balcony, although we didn't use it often due to the fickle Icelandic weather. The food was excellent (assuming you like fish and lamb, which are Icelandic staples). Basic beer and wine were included and plentiful. Deck 10 has a ...

Wonderful Iceland cruise

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

A memorable trip, which we greatly enjoyed. We had a suite which was very comfortable, 4 bottles of wine, mini bar full of soft drinks, beers, 4 jars of snacks. On arrival greeted with a bottle of champagne and nibbles in our suite. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a heated floor which was wonderful. There was also a free laundry service which meant minimal dirty washing to ...

Hanseatic Inspiration pleasant luxury expedition

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Hanseatic Inspiration

Catlover54
10+ Cruises • Age 70s

SUMMARY: This is a nice small luxury expedition ship (with luxury pricing). There were some disappointing issues related to both technical support and service which were previously not my experience on Hapag Lloyd (HL) ships, so I rate it overall 4/5 instead of 5/5. I usually (but not always) cruise luxury lines, either solo (this cruise), with DH, or with friends. I am not a travel agent, ...

A fun time was had by both my wife and myself

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Spitsbergen

Hebridean trip 2024
2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

I found the whole experience was absolutely brilliant. The Crew were all great, from the Captain, Terje, all the way down. The Expedition Team, lead by Regine, were all equally knowledgeable, patient and helpful . From Jakob on geology to Laurence on Scottish history and songs ( which I really liked ) It would be unfair to pick out a particular individual. A great time was had by ...

Scottish Islands - delighted

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Spitsbergen

Bill of Oxford
6-10 Cruises • Age 70s

The HX website was not easy to use and did not provide a means of pre-booking excursions; some which I would have chosen to go on were booked out. The cruise started from and ended in Greenock (calling that Glasgow is misleading). Check-in was easy and welcoming. The free jackets were good - but the time to pick them up ended at 15:30, our first boarding time - but an extra session was ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

2-5 Cruises • Age 80s

Everything was great except for the ship credit. we signed up for 3 new trips & got ship credits that we were not able to use as there was not any thing we wanted to use it on this trip & was not able to have it credited to the next trip which would have been better as this will be a longer trip & much more informative. we also were not informed that this credit had to be used on this trip & ...

Great, scenic, but slow paced journey (age 20s).

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Richard With

Hungryboat077
First Time Cruiser • Age 20s

I'm writing the review that I would have wanted to see myself. Will state upfront I did this cruise to celebrate my 29th birthday across 12 days. If you are "young" and think it would be awkward to go on this cruise, GO! Don't let thoughts about awkwardness make you hesitate and don't think abut that too much. I am someone who had some terrible experiences on land tours and I'm trying cruises, ...

Best ship and trip, just do it

Review for a Galapagos Cruise on Celebrity Flora

louis147
First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

This ship is near to perfect as any we have been on. Nearly as many crew as passengers. Great service. Great food. Ship is small and easy to get around. Common spaces are comfortable and not crowded feeling. Marina for getting on an off zodiac tenders is perfect. Very safety minded touches. Snorkeling is safe. And magnificent. Naturalists are great at finding wildlife and explaining things in an ...

Extremely disappointing

Review for a Asia Cruise on Le Jacques Cartier

Michael and Jenny B
2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

Excursions were poorly organised with expedition staff admitting they had not been to most of the locations. Very poor information provided as to what we were meant to experience. Probably ok if you are a French passenger, otherwise expect to be treated like a second class citizen. Food and wine only fair throughout the 7 days. Only 2 eating places on board. Waiters knew little about wine offered ...

A Memorable Viking Experience

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

Bardophile
2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

This was our first cruise with Viking, and it was very memorable, The ship is impressive. The decor is attractive and comfortable. None of the public spaces ever seemed crowded; we could always find space to relax, either alone or with friends. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had no trouble getting reservations on board for Manfredi’s or The Restaurant where we dined several times, ...
